Media/Tech Support

sound TECHNICIAN

Have you ever wanted to be the person that got to twist the knobs and push the buttons on the sound board? Well, here is your chance! Seriously, the sound technician is a crucial part of our Sunday services and we are constantly looking for volunteers. The sound technicians are set up on a monthly rotation, and only a short training session is needed in order to understand the basics of running sound. Sound technicians are expected to be at sound check and rehearsals on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in being a sound technician at First Baptist Louisville, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Media technician

You may be wondering, what exactly is a media technician? At First Baptist Louisville our media techs are responsible for running the software program (ProPresenter) that projects song lyrics, scriptures, and other information onto the screens in the worship center. This may sound difficult, but we assure you that one brief training session is all you need to be a master at ProPresenter. If you are interested in becoming a media technician at First Baptist Louisville, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Broadcast Technician

One of the things we do at First Baptist is live stream. We live stream our Sunday morning services. This requires people to make that happen. The broadcast tech receives cues from the production director during the service. We are confident that anyone in our church can be a broadcast tech and would love to have you join the team. If you think you might like to give it a try, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Greeters

At First Baptist, we believe our greeters are very important. If you think about it, in many ways, the greeters are often the first impression people have of the church. Greeters are blessed with the opportunity to be the first person to welcome members and guest to our facilities. These attendants also do various other duties like: showing visitors to the appropriate Sunday school class, parking cars for the elderly, providing umbrellas for rainy days, and numerous other jobs. We appreciate our greeters and hope you will join the team. If you are interested in becoming a greeter, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Security Staff

Safety is a priority at First Baptist Church. We want our church family to feel safe while they worship. This is why we have a security team that walks the campus during our services. This team monitors all activity within the church, as well as all activity going on just outside our walls and parking lot. If you feel like our security team would be a good fit for you, please fill out and submit the from at the bottom of the page.

Prayer Team

We cannot stress enough how powerful prayer is. We have a prayer team that prays during each of our Sunday morning services. Prayer is something that everyone can do. You do not need a particular skills set or training on how to do the job. You simply just talk to God. We would love to add more people to this team. If you are interested in joining our prayer team, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Nursery Worker

Perhaps you would enjoy helping in the nursery. Our nursery is open for all of our services and is a great resource for parents who wish to attend a worship service without their little one. If you are interested in becoming a nursery worker, fill out and submit the form at bottom of the page

Sunday School Teachers

We are currently in search for more Sunday school teachers. Teaching Sunday school is an incredible opportunity for you to interact with others and teach the truths of scriptures. We have openings in most departments and would love to talk with you further about your interest in teaching Sunday school. If interested, please fill out and submit the form at the bottom of the page.

Wednesday Night Youth/Children's Ministry Volunteers

When it comes to youth and children's ministry, volunteers are a must. In fact, we could not have sustainable youth or children's ministries without the help of volunteers. We need people that are willing to invest their time and energy to impact the lives of students on Wednesday nights. Whether it is sitting and talking to a pre-schooler about their day or playing basketball with a high school senior, little interactions like these matter. Additionally there are lots of events that go on through out the year, such as: DNOW weekend, Vacation Bible School, summer camps, winter or fall retreats, fun days, and weekend retreats. All of these events require volunteers. if you are interested in volunteering for one of these ministries, please fill out and submit the form below.
